LOCATION :

The Ile Saint-Louis is literally the historical heart of the city, a small island in the middle of the Seine and, accordingly, one of the most charming and exclusive neighbourhoods the city has to offer. The setting could not be more convenient for exploring every arrondissement- a 5 minute walk to Notre-Dame Cathedral, Beaubourg and the Marais.

You are also a short walk from all the necessary shops and services which will make your stay especially comfortable.

This Paris rent is on the Noble floor (first French floor) on the courtyard of a 17th century "Hôtel particulier", with a magnificent door entering into a pretty refurbished courtyard. Running lengthways along the island is the Rue Saint Louis en l'Ile. The island conveys a village feel and after staying only a day or so, it will start to feel local and very familiar. The isle boasts a Baroque Church, refined boutiques, old-fashioned bistros and brasseries, delicate chocolate and food shops, a florist, bakeries (with its delicious " baguette à l'ancienne "), a wonderful cheese shop and many teahouses.

METROS: Pont Marie (line 7) within 2 minutes and Saint Paul ( Line 1) within just 4 minutes walking distance.

SIZE : This second home in a Paris flat sleeps comfortably 2 to 3 person.

SLEEPING ACCOMMODATION:  The separate very quiet bedroom welcomes a King sized bed which can be convertible in twin beds. Adjoined to the bedroom is the bathroom offering bathtub and shower fixture with closing curtains, wash basin, lit mirror and toiletries. 

The living room offer a brand new comfortable large couch convertible in a double bed, adapted for sleeping accommodation ( wooden slates and Bultex mattress). Separate WC.

• This Paris apartment for rent was owned by an ex-treasury minister of Louis XIV, and hides a real treasure in the building: The painted beams on the Noble 1st Floor.
• The exceptional and rare treasure welcomes beautiful restored painted ancient beams, outstanding High ceiling, parquet and delicate paintings patterns. Each restored beams offers beautiful natural colors with angels & flowers representation...typically for the 17th century.
• The quality of the furnishing has been cleverly selected to confer a real elegant spirit. A fireplace with massive gilded mirrors on either side of spacious living and dining room with parquet floor will make you feel welcomed straight away. A fine looking chandelier also adorns this area.
• The three large, tall windows allow the south sun in and the soft colored off white walls give the impression of expanse comfort. Delicate red and orange colored chintz curtain framed each tall window. On one side is a delicate engraving in its gilded frame and close by a Renaissance style buffet chiffonier.
• The living room area has been only organized for one purpose: YOUR COMFORT. A large and comfortable creamy and contemporary couch ( convertible occasionally for extra guest) is facing the windows to catch the best natural light during the day. This is perfect place for relaxing, reading a book, or for cocktails reception . A tasteful long coffee table and two 19th century restored armchairs are around this relaxing area. On both side of the couch , reading and ambiance bronze lamps are added to the atmosphere.
• The dining room area consists in a large antique dining table with six chairs for receiving guests for lunches or private candle lighted dinners.
• A handsomely carved bureau can be used as a writing desk or to work on your laptop.
• The window of the separate bedroom overlooks roofs and is drawn by heavily draped red taffeta curtains. The bedroom welcomes a brand new king size bed ( convertible in twin beds) with quality linen and many pillows. Two bedside tables with reading lamps and a fireplace provide a warm ambiance. You will also find several built in cupboards to store your personal belongings. In addition the living also has a huge antique wardrobe.
• The adjoined separate bathroom offers a full bath with bath tub and shower fixture with closing protection curtains, wash basin, lit mirror and toiletries cabinets. A washing machine/dryer unit is present. Hairdryer available, as well iron and iron board.
• The separate WC is located in the little foyer entrance of the apartment.
• The separate functional and tiled kitchen brings all modern amenities : electrical unit with oven and four burners, refrigerator and freezer, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, electrical kettle, toaster and all utensils, cutlery, dishes, glass ware you may need. There is also a little table with chairs for nice breakfast mornings.
• To complete your future comfort on this second elegant home, other amenities are at your disposal: a large Color TV with cable offering the main international channels such as BBC World, CNN ....A new DVD player Zone 2, hi-fi stereo unit with CD-player, a private telephone with answering machine.
