MINIMUM RENTAL STAY: One Week, 7 NIGHTS.
Location:
- Located in the Upper Marais, the Rue des Archives is not only an historic address, it is also in an area that has become the most bohemian chic in the city, prized above all others by young urban professionals, artists and intelligentsia. It is filled with trendy boutiques, cafés and contemporary art galleries spreading through the Rue Charlot, Rue Vieille du Temple and other sides streets. What was once an ancient aristocratic district has been reborn a vibrant and lively home base for your Paris visit. This convenient location is perfect for heading south to the Seine and the many monuments of the city or north to the up and coming Belleville area (what the New York Times recently labeled "the Brooklyn of Paris").
- This recently renovated 115 square meters apartment is located in an elegant 18th century building on the noble 1st French floor with access a large wooden staircase. The rooms all have high ceilings, exposed beams and lots of light.
Sleeping Capacity : 5 Guests and occasionally up to 6 guests.
RENTAL FEATURES:
- Rue des Archives is certainly of one the more elegant streets of the Marais. Running North and South, this street is also convenient to shops, restaurants and services in the neighborhood. The open air market "le marché des enfants rouge" (open six days per week) is just around the corner off of the Rue de Bretagne...the main commercial street of the neighborhood where you will find everything you could need for your stay and more.
- Access to this impressive 18th century building is limited by key, digicode and intercom device.
- The multiple direction exposure allows the rooms to benefit from generous, bright natural light.
- As you enter the apartment you will find yourself in a foyer corridor that leads to the different areas of the apartment. Directly in front of the entrance is the living room. To the right of the entrance is one large bedroom with bathroom. To the left is a long hallway leading to the immense dine-in kitchen and two other bedrooms. The apartment has beautiful, high quality wood flooring in certain rooms, while the common areas have beige marble flooring. The apartment has very high ceilings. The elegance of the apartment combined with the modern shapes of the furnishings, especially in the kitchen and living room conveys a singular spirit to this apartm
- Each room has double glazed windows to provide comfort and quietness. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. The master bedroom has a full bathroom with toilet while the other bedrooms share one water closet.
- The living room is large, elegant and a mix of antique and contemporary furnishings. There are two tall windows that flood the room with light. Opposite the windows is a large built-in library wall. The living room consists of comfortable 1930s style leather couch, club chair, two smaller arm chairs and a coffee table in wrought-iron. Around the room are older antique pieces such as a 19th century chest of drawers and an elegant console table between the windows. The modern non working fireplace is the focal point of the room. The art work is contemporary and softly ties in with the various styles present in the decorating. To the left is the lounge area where there is a flat screen cable color TV and two more arm chairs. There is also a writing table should you need a small space to write emails or address your post cards. The lounge has the wonderful large slat parquet that is also in the bedrooms.
- The spacious master bedroom has a King sized bed and bedside tables with soft light reading lamps. There is a large antique chest of drawers for organizing your personal affairs as well as large closets. Two charming 18th century caned chairs accompany the chest of drawers. The lower sections of the window have mirrored glass for privacy and there are interior shutters that will shut out daylight for sleeping-in or for cat naps in the afternoon. The master bathroom is painted a warm red and consists of a large sink, mirror, toilet and huge tub for long soaks after exploring the most visited city on the planet.
- Next to the master is a smaller second bedroom. This charming room has a large couch which converts into a very comfortable double size bed. There are shelves for your personal effects opposite the couch-bed. The night stand and lamp are antiques from the 1930s. The artwork is contemporary and again it blends harmoniously with the style of the bedroom. There is mirrored glass in the lower parts of the window for privacy and the interior shutters will block out the daylight should you wish for total darkness. Just outside this bedroom is a small bathroom with a mirrored sink and shower cabin. The walls in flat black tile give this bathroom a certain elegance. The shower head is large and gives a rain shower effect.
- Back towards the foyer is the third bedroom. This bedroom is spacious and offers a queen size bed that can be split into two twin beds when requested. Antique prints and maps adorn the wall over the bed. Night stands and lamps frame in the head of the bed. A built-in book case offers some late night reading material for light sleepers. A chandelier lights the room in case you need full lighting. The striped curtains frame the tall French style window. An antique desk and mid 20th century chair provide space for consulting email or writing your post cards. Opposite the window are large closets for your personal items and the spacious bathroom. The bathroom consists of a large sink and large shower stall.
- The second and third bedrooms share a water closet located in the hallway.

Testimonies for LAVANDE
Mr & Mrs Wright from USA
Christophe, We very much enjoyed working with your company as in the past we have used other rental companies and just been handed keys with no additional information and resources so we especially appreciated all of the assistance you gave us. We felt the Lavande apartment exceeded our expectations as it was reasonably priced, nicely decorated and very comfortable for all of us. Again, thanks for your assistance, we will definitely use your company when we return to Paris and will recommend you to family and friends. A bientot, Paul and Jackie
