LOCATION

This discreet and perfectly self-contained island is one of the most enchanting places to stay in Paris, the City of Lights. Many of the houses on this prime piece of real estate were built for noble families and wealthy merchants in the 17th century. The island sits directly behind the Isle de la Cité, and a stone’s throw from Notre Dame. Running east-west is the main street, Rue Saint Louis en l’Ile. Ile St-Louis offers everything from pharmacies, to a post office, a news stand, several banks with automatic teller machines, a florist, a hairdressing salon, three bakeries, a patisserie, two grocery stores, two cheese shops, two wine handlers, art galleries and many other fine shops.
All of the most important and beautiful places are located close to the Ile St-Louis: the Louvre Museum, the Pompidou Centre, the left Bank and Latin Quarter, Sainte Chapelle,  all within a close radius and easy to get to by foot.

THE APARTMENT

• This large one bedroom apartment is situated on the 5th floor of abuilding that was entirely renovated in the last two years. Its long terrace overlooks the roofs of Ile Saint Louis.
• Access to the building is secured by a digital code. Another door with interphone and an elevator, that is only accessible if you enter the code, add one more step to the security of this building.
• This fifth floor apartment is smartly organized and well appointed. The main living room is organized into separated areas: Reception, Dining and open kitchen. Two sets of French doors each open onto a balcony overlooking rooftops and the street below.
• In the design open kitchen the major appliances are hidden behind cabinet façades in order to better integrate the decor. It is equipped with a full size refrigerator, freezer, convection oven, microwave oven, infrared ceramic cook top, and dishwasher.  Coffee maker, toaster, glassware, cutlery, utensils, dishes and crockery are furnished.
• The living area is organized to make a very cosy conversation pit with a large beige sofa facing a lovely cocktail table. Contemporary paintings and elegant lamps provide warm evening light and ambience to this already cozy place. The absolute charm of this room is the open space of  the balcony  and  its views over the rooftops of the island
• The dining area is centred beneath the window, it seats comfortably four adults.
• The large bathroom features a wash basin, a bathtub with shower fixtures and a WC. The heater/towel rack ensures that your towels are always toasty. A hair dryer is also furnished. A washer/dryer combination is at your disposal in a private closet.
• The bedroom features a Queen Size bed. In case you should wish to sleep in late, you can close the shutters to create complete darkness. A large closet provides storage for luggage and plenty of room for your personal belongings. Another set of French doors gives access to the balcony
