LOCATION
This discreet and self-contained island is one of the most enchanting places to stay. It is delightfully unspoiled and has a mixture of handsome 17th century architecture, modern boutiques, narrow streets and magnificent views from its tree-lined quays. Many of the houses on this prime piece of real estate were built in the 16th century for the Noble Families on the quays of what was once called “ Ile aux Vaches” (Island of Cows). This small island sits directly behind the Ile de la Cité, a stone’s throw from Notre Dame. Running lengthways along the island is the main street, Rue Saint Louis en l’Ile. It boasts a Baroque church, refined boutiques, old-fashioned bistros and brasseries, delicate chocolate and food shops, a florist, boulangeries, a wonderful cheese shop and many pretty teahouses. The island has a village feel about it and after staying only a day or so, it will start to feel local and very familiar. All of the most important and beautiful places are located close to the Ile St-Louis: the Louvre Museum, the Centre Pompidou, the left Bank, Latin Quarter and Sainte Chapelle, all within a close radius and easy to get to on foot. The Sully-Morland Metro station is 5 minutes away.

- Handsome, wood panelled library with desk, telephone, easy access to wifi nternet connection, TV with cable ( CNN, RAI1, ZDF, TVE…).
- Dining area facing the Seine River offering antique round dining table with chairs for romantic dinners.
- Large master bedroom with windows, closing blue curtains, parquet floor, king size bed , antique bedside table and reading lamps, armchair, armoire wardrobe, marble fireplace (cannot be used).
- Large ensuite modern bathroom with bath and hand held shower, washbasin, toiletries, and hair dryer. There is a separate W.C.
- A Second master bedroom offers a Queen size bed with bedside table and reading lamps, desk , with floor to ceiling drapes, closing curtains, hardwood floor, a fireplace.
- The separate kitchen is fully equipped with 4 electric burners, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, double sinks, coffee maker, electric kettle, toaster and all the necessary utensils for food preparation. Washing machine/dryer combination unit. Iron board and iron available.
- This property has the added benefit of free unlimited WiFi access.
