LOCATION

This discreet and self-contained Island is one of the most enchanting places to stay in Paris, City of Lights. It is delightfully unspoiled and has a mixture of handsome 17th century architecture, modern boutiques, narrow streets and magnificent views from its tree-lined quays. It sits directly behind the Isle de la Cité, a stone throw away from Notre Dame. Quite simply, this apartment has an unfettered view of the River Seine, with, as aforementioned, Notre Dame beautifully illuminated at night, as well as the dome of the Panthéon on the Left bank. After staying only a day or so, you will start to feel local and very familiar. The prestigious high street, Rue Saint Louis en l’Ile, boasts a Baroque church, refined boutiques, old-fashioned bistros and brasseries as well as the famous “Berthillon” ice creams. The Isle, a somewhat village in the heart of Paris has all shopping necessities: a pharmacy, an ATM, newsagent, bakeries, wine and cheese shops, grocery stores and other local delicacies. Guests can enjoy pretty tea houses, cafés, art galleries, or venture further to world famous attractions, located close by: the Louvre Museum, the Pompidou Center, the Left Bank and Latin Quarter, Sainte Chapelle, and all within a close radius and easy to get to by foot.

THE APARTMENT

• Situated on the most central street that runs the length of the Isle Saint-Louis from East to West, this elegant first floor apartment is located in a lovely 20th century elevator building surrounded by fine shops and boutiques.
• This tastefully furnished one-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment features 5 large windows. It is made of parquet floors, moulded ceiling, elegant volumes and furnishing. The feel is of a spacious openness, decorated with a refined taste. The assorted colors are soothing grey, celadon and vanilla.
• The 80 square meters apartment has been recently totally renovated in a simple, elegant style that highlights the spaciousness of the floorplan. Light and space; most of all energy flows through the apartment. Some windows overlook the fine shops across the street, and other open over a little garden in a courtyard.
• One steps directly through the entrance into the large living room and dining area, awash in natural light shining in from the two wide windows. The dining area can elegantly seat four people around the square wooden table.
• In the living room, as for the seating arrangement, near the high windows, two comfortable grey sofas, and a spacious red armchair, all centred on a contemporary style table. The area is perfect for conviviality, a calm rest after a long day of cultural visits or listening to music.
• The separate fully equipped built-in kitchen is offering a dining space, for “tete à tete” breakfasts. For your comfort there are induction plates, microwave oven and fridge, freezer, Nespresso coffee maker, toaster and electrical kettle. All necessary cutlery, glassware and crockery are available in the built-in cabinets. A dishwasher is also available.
• The Master bedroom is overlooking an idyllic little garden in an intimate courtyard. It offers a Queen size bed as well as a large built in cabinet with enough space for the elegant dinner outfits. The next-door bathroom offers a bathtub, wash basin and toiletries with hairdryer. A washer-dryer is also available.
• The cozy library, separated from the living room area by a sliding door offers the a convertible sofa bed. 
• A separate WC is available at the entrance of the apartment and independently accessible from each room.
• The apartment is equipped with free and unlimited WIFI access.
• ​Private telephone with open line and answering machine available.
• ​Color TV with cable offers all main international channels available (CNN, BBC…).
• ​A safe to store your valuable at your disposal.
• The building has a live-in land lady It is equipped with an intercom device for your own security and privacy.
  Only residents of the building have the door code to get inside.
  For security and sanitary reason pets are not allowed. This is a non-smoking apartment.
