LOCATION
Situated on Ile Saint Louis and located in between the right and left banks of Paris, this typical 17th century building has been facing the river Seine and all Parisian activity for more than two hundred years. Nowadays you have an opportunity to experience a true reminiscence of these old times of gentry combined with modern comfort facilities. This Paris studio apartment rental on Ile Saint Louis offers you all the necessities as well as the luxuries such as a pharmacy, a post office, a news agent, banks with automatic teller machines, florist and salons de coiffure, bakeries and pâtisseries, grocery stores, traditional restaurants and brasseries, cafés, art galleries and other fine shops. The Ile is organized in such a way that you feel as though you are in a village – at the same time being in the heart of Paris. All of the most important and beautiful places are located close to the Ile St Louis: the Louvre Museum, the Pompidou Centre, the left Bank and Latin Quarter, Sainte Chapelle, and all within a close radius and easy to get to by foot.
THE APARTMENT
- In our collection of luxury apartments, this vacation rental property offers you the most spectacular and uninterrupted view of the river Seine as well as natural light in abundance as it, located in a house from 1600’s, has windows on both sides – which incidentally also gives you a chance to enjoy unending entertainment of the shadow and light from the showboats (until 10pm) on the river Seine.
- This outstanding apartment has just been totally renovated and revamped by its owner, an French architect from St Barts in the Carribian, highlighting historic features such as the stone wall and the beams, using only high quality materials and contemporary finishes. The apartment now appears in soft and light beige, cream, and brown tones, visible stone walls dating from the 17th century, exposed beams, and light oak floors covering the entire apartment. Moreover, the double-glazing windows ensure the utmost calm and serenity. The result: a unique blend with a spirit of Feng Shui that respects the history whilst giving it a modern and contemporary touch.
- This 3rd French floor apartment consists of 42 sq meters set out as follows: A very expansive living-dining room very tastefully redone and furnished, adjoining alcove with the bed, a kitchenette containing all amenities, and a magnificent bathroom. Here, « old world » charm and modern comfort come together in harmony.
- The layout is simple and convenient. You enter into the dining area, with the dining area and kitchenette and the bathroom to your right (towards the interior of the building), whereas the living area and the bedroom are to the left side – from here, you enjoy splendid views of the city.
- The colour scheme (beige, cream, sand and Hermès orange) creates a warm and relaxing atmosphere throughout this airy and charming apartment. The dining area, consisting of a square dining table with four matching chairs, originally created for the Parisian restaurant Musée Baccarat, presents an ideal setting for intimate and private dinners.
- Next to it on the left, you find the living area, complete with a comfortable beige couch, convertible in case you need to sleep additional guests, a coffee table and TV. Two framed scarves by Hermès, limited edition featuring Paris, hang on top of the couch. Opposite you find the spacious built-in closet, able to contain all your holiday belongings.
- The recessed bedroom area is raised by two steps, with the bed inside an alcove, giving you a spectacular view of the river Seine. A light wooden writing table is placed below the visible stone wall, next to windows, and ambiance lights and works of art, such as the bronze sculpture « Sky is the limit » by Tolla, are strategically placed.
- The beautifully redone modern bathroom kept in cream and beige tones, boasts an exquisite original visible stone wall above the bathtub with italian shower by Philippe Stark and closing curtain water protection, mosaic in beige tones and a square wash basin with lit mirror. Light streams through the built-in halogen lamps in the ceilings. Hairdryer, washer, ironing board and iron are also available.
- The kitchenette, Bulthurp design, is fully equipped, including all cooking, serving and eating utensils, glassware, cutlery and other utensils, coffee maker, toaster, oven/micro wave, fridge and electrical cooker.
- Private telephone line and answering machine.
- Amenities offered in this Paris vacation rental property: Cable numeric TV offering the main international channels such as CNN, BBC…, a new DVD player, s, private telephone.
- This property has the added benefit of free unlimited WiFi access.
- NOTE: This building is secured by an intercom device for your own security and privacy. The tavern located on the ground floor is quiet, thus there is no inconvenience of noise or smoke. For security and sanitary reasons, pet are not allowed. This apartment is a non-smoking apartment.
