In the heart of Paris, Boulevard Henri IV, in the Marais district, stretches between Ile Saint Louis and Place de la Bastille. It is near Place des Vosges, Saint Paul neighborhood with its antique shops, Picasso and Carnavalet museums. The Marais is a preserved “historic” Parisian district, a jewel of architecture, thanks to the intervention of the Minister of Culture André Malraux in the sixties. The Marais experienced its golden age in the 17th century, when most of today’s historical buildings were constructed for noble families. One never get bored walking from a square to a museum, getting lost in small streets full of history, because it is also an extremely lively residential area. All services, food shops, restaurants and trendy boutiques are within walking distance.
The small square Henri-Galli, located after crossing the Seine, on the left, between Quai des Célestins and boulevard Henri IV, contains a vestige of the Bastille prison foundation, and, at the current number 46 there was its drawbridge. The Célestins district host the headquarters of the Republican Horse Guard, just opposite your residence. This military corps provides missions of honor and security for the benefit of the highest authorities of the State in France, as well as security missions for the benefit of the public. It is the prestigious attraction of the parade of July 14th on the Champs Élysées.
Connected to the rest of Paris by four metro lines, the access to the most important and most beautiful monuments is easy.
